Series P
Automatic air release valves for water networks
Automatic systems for the continuous removal of small air pockets accumulated during normal network operation.

IRUA Series P consists of automatic air release valves designed to discharge small air accumulations in pressurized pipelines during normal installation operation. In water supply networks, pumping mains and complex hydraulic systems, these air pockets can generate efficiency losses, vibrations or service irregularities. Series P allows this air to be removed continuously and automatically, promoting more stable hydraulic behaviour.
How a Series P air release valve works

Valve in closed position
The valve will remain in closed position until it detects air pockets to be released.

Expulsion of accumulated air
The valve will expel the accumulated air in a pipeline when it is pressurized and in service.
