Vacuum Breaker Valves for controlled air admission
Automatic protection against vacuum in hydraulic pipelines through controlled air inlets when a pressure drop occurs in the network.
In water transport networks, pumping mains or large pipelines, depression situations may occur as a result of pump shutdowns, emptying or hydraulic transients. Series VA responds automatically to these pressure drops, preventing deformation or structural damage to the pipeline.
How a Series VA valve works
The Vacuum Breaker Valve opens automatically when it detects a pressure drop in the pipeline and allows air to enter to compensate for the internal depression.
The valve will open in response to a minimal depression in the pipeline, caused by drains, ruptures,etc
The valve will remain in closed position both during pipeline filling and during normal operation of the installation
