Slow-closing valve
Air outlet regulation valveIRUA Series VC consists of complementary valves designed to improve the operation and safety of air valves during hydraulic maneuvers in pipelines. On the one hand, the slow-closing valve makes it possible to control closing after air evacuations to avoid phenomena associated with sudden closures in the pipeline. On the other hand, the air outlet regulation valve makes it possible to incorporate an adjustment of the evacuation flow when more precise control of air outlet is required during filling or purging of installations.
Series VC valves are used as complementary elements to air valves, allowing control of closing speed and optimization of air outlet at points in the network where hydraulic conditions require more adjusted system behavior.
Two complementary solutions
Series VC integrates two lines of complementary valves to improve and protect the behavior of air valve installations in pipelines.
Slow-closing valve
Slow-closing valves make it possible to reduce the closing speed of the air valve during pipeline filling.
In this way, sudden closure caused by the air release regime is avoided, reducing the likelihood of water hammer or hydraulic instability in the network.
They are indicated for pumping mains, long pipelines or long-distance locations where the dynamic conditions of pipeline filling may cause sudden closures.
Air outlet regulation valve
Air outlet regulation valves make it possible to control the air evacuation speed during pipeline filling.
By regulating the evacuated air flow, pipeline filling is carried out in a more progressive and controlled way, reducing the risk of transient hydraulic phenomena.
This type of valve is used mainly in large-diameter pipelines or in installations where precise control of the hydraulic behavior of the system is required.
